 1. HELP FOR SEARCHING PERSONALS The Personals section helps you locate a specific user by clicking through "Categories". Simply select the Category that you wish to look through. Then, click on any member ad. Here, you can view their profile details, send them a letter, rate their profile, save it in your favorites, send it to a friend, print it out on your printer and even find how far away they are from you by using our zip code distance finder. back to top 2. SEARCH HELP To use this search feature, click on Search in the main navigation bar to reach the search page. From there you will have the choice to use either the Simple Search or Advanced Search features to better narrow down your search criteria. Clicking submit will display all the available members in your location of choice that fit your criteria. back to top 3. PHOTO HELP EZDATE123.COM allows up to three photos to be viewed in the personals. EZDATE123.COM has strict guidelines concerning all photos. Please read about our photo guidelines carefully. Photos will be accepted as JPEG, GIF, or PNG format, and must be smaller than 150 Kbytes in size. Our system will not upload your file if it is larger than the specified size. If your photo does not show up in your profile when you attempt to upload it, you must login to My Profile and attempt to upload a new photo with the correct size requirements. The program will automatically convert the image to a thumbnail as is shown on any classified ad page. If you use a postage stamp sized picture of yourself and we scale it up, you're probably not going to like the effect. Remember, a well scanned, nice photo will definitely increase you chances of making a connection. back to top 4. MAILBOX HELP To enter your personal mailbox, simply click on the Mailbox link. There you will find mail that was sent to you from other members, and you will be able to read and delete messages, and reply to users. The EZDATE123 message system works just like other types of webmail, but only communicates with other EZDATE123 members for your convenience and safety. It is simple to use, and offers you a greater chance of meeting that special someone when using our site. The following describes the use of your mailbox. Inbox = New messages you have received from other EZDATE123 members Sent = Messages that you have sent to other EZDATE123 members Trash = Messages you delete You may add attachments such as images and files such as Word or text documents up to 300k in file size. Use common sense when sending other members messaging attachments. Not everyone is connected to high speed internet, so avoid large files such as MP3's. Please delete your old messages to allow room for new messages, because you account is limited to a certain amount of disc usage. back to top 5. PASSWORD HELP Your password is your single most important feature to insuring your privacy and security on this web site. We recommend that you change it regularly and that you never pass it on to anyone. To change your password, click on My Account and click on Edit Password. When you change your password, you will be required to enter it twice. Then you will have to log back in, so be sure to use your new password. We recommend that you write your password on a piece of paper and keep it in a safe place that only you have easy access to. If you have forgotten your password, click Lost Password under the login box, then enter your email address, click Get It, and it will be emailed to the email address you provided. Guidelines to Common Sense Password Security back to top 6. PASSWORD DON'TS Don't use your user name or real name in any form even reversed, capitalized, or doubled. Don't use any other information easily obtainable about you. This includes the name of your spouse or child, license plate or telephone or social security number, the make of your automobile, the name of the street you live on, etc. Don't use a password of all digits, or all letters. Don't use a word contained in any English or foreign language dictionary, spelling lists, or other lists of words. This protects you from dictionary attacks. Likewise, don't append a digit or punctuation mark to a dictionary word. Dictionary attacks frequently attempt these variants for each actual word. Don't use the same password for every system on which you have an account. Don't share your password or account with anyone else. back to top 7. PASSWORD DO'S Do use a password that is at least six characters in length. Do use a password with digits or punctuation. Do use a password that is easy to remember . Do use a password that you can type quickly. Be careful not to type your password when someone is able to watch what you are typing. Think security. Do change your passwords frequently, at least every four months. back to top 8. ACCOUNT HELP How do I find out information about my account? Click on "MY ACCOUNT" (upper right of page). back to top 9. LOGIN HELP Be sure that you are using your correct username and password. If you are unsure about your correct username and/or password go to the EZDATE123 Login area and click on Lost Password. 1. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, try lowering your security settings to "medium/low". To find your settings go to the Start Menu >> Settings >> Control Panel >> Internet Options >> Security >> here you can adjust your settings to "medium/low". If you are using the Netscape browser, usually it will work at a higher security setting. 2. Switch to another browser. If you are using Internet Explorer, you can switch to Firefox. Please follow this link to get your free Firefox browser.  Note: check to see that your security setting is not at the highest level. (see option 1 for details) 3. Delete your Cookies, Temporary Internet Files and History Files. 4. Run a system cleanup with a FREE download software program such as Ad Aware from Lavasoft. 5. Check to see that your computer clock is set to the correct time for your area, also AM or PM and the correct date. NOTE: Keeping your system clean and free from unwanted clutter, spyware, and viruses will insure optimum system performance. Always consult with your local computer technical expert. back to top 10.
